product description

Collective plate from the porcelain art series of the company Hutschenreuther

Valuable plate from the Hutschenreuther porcelain art series with motives from the operas of Richard Wagner. This series was made in the 80s and 90s in each case to the Bayreuth festival in a worldwide limited edition by 5000 pieces. The motives of the series were formed by the artist's married couple Charlotte and William Hallett. Wolfgang Wagner himself supports them, besides, with valuable tips.

The plate shows Tannhäuser with Venus in the hill of Venus and his longing for Elisabeth.

The motive is completed by a noble brown border with some detailed drawn scenes from the opera Tannhäuser. The splendid colours, completed by 24 carats golden threads, make this plate an unusual collector's item.
At the back there is a signature of the designer together with a description and the original suspension.
The plate is in a flawless, collective-worthy state.
